APP Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Coverage Need: 7 days per week

APP Coverage: One APP shift daily

Single physician coverage from 2:00 AM – 8:00 AM

Peak coverage: 3 physicians from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Residents: Emergency Medicine residents present (approx. 2 shifts/day)

No APP supervision required for resident cases

Practice Setting: Fast Track (“VUE”) – 10-bed unit within the ED

Autonomy: APP works independently

Physician Support: Attending physicians available 24/7 for consultation

Annual ED Volume: ~40,150 visits

Patients Per Day: ~110 (divided among providers)

ED Beds: 50
