We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens opportunity in Brooksville, Florida. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced emergency department alongside a collaborative physician and nursing team, providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the emergency department
- Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies
- Perform procedures within scope of practice
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR
- Collaborate with emergency physicians, consultants, and hospital staff to ensure optimal patient care
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
- Active Florida license
- Emergency Medicine experience required
- ACLS and BLS (PALS preferred)
- DEA certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced ED environment
