Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) to join a well-established emergency department in the Western New York/Buffalo area. This position offers competitive hourly compensation, a supportive clinical environment, and the opportunity to work with a dedicated emergency medicine team serving a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.

Perform comprehensive evaluations, including history, physical exams, and differential diagnoses.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging.

Perform common emergency procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care, abscess I&D, orthopedic reductions as appropriate).

Collaborate with attending physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely, efficient patient care.

Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner.

Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and follow-up recommendations.
Schedule

Flexible scheduling available (days, evenings, nights).

Shift lengths vary depending on site needs.
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Current PA license in New York State (or ability to obtain).

NCCPA certification required.

Emergency medicine experience preferred, but strong new grads with urgent care/critical care exposure will be considered.

ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required (or willing to obtain).
