Job Summary: Provides primary or acute healthcare services for certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Job Description: Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department in Augusta, ME. In this role the APP will be responsible for performing front-end, rapid evaluations of patients in conjunction with the triage nurse to facilitate care. The experienced candidate must be able to make rapid decisions about care. Join a team of 20 physicians and 7 physician assistants 24/7 Emergency Department with an annual volume of 55,000 patients Schedule consists of 4, 8-hour shifts per week Requirements: Successful completion of an accredited APP program Active Maine Advanced Practitioner's license BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in an ED setting Certifications: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) - Maine State Board of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Maine State Board of Nursing Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Benefits: Supporting all aspects of our employees’ wellness – physical, emotional and financial – is a critical component of being a great place to work.
