APP – Critical Care (Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) Location: New Britain, CT Setting: Inpatient, Critical Care Schedule: Full-time, day/night rotating schedule (13-hour shifts) Shift Detail: 06:30 AM – 07:30 PM, 06:30 PM – 07:30 AM; rotating days/nights/weekends Call Schedule: No call Position Highlights: • Full-time opportunity to provide comprehensive care to critically ill medical and surgical patients. • Responsibilities include admissions, discharges, rounding, and performing procedures (central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes). • Work across multiple campuses, gaining diverse clinical exposure. • Robust orientation and procedural supervision provided; excellent opportunity for new graduates seeking one-on-one mentorship. Role Scope: • Perform routine physical examinations, medical management, and care planning under established guidelines. • Develop medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team. • Provide appropriate treatment for patient needs within scope of practice, with referrals made when necessary.
