We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA) - Emergency Medicine for Locum opportunity in Springfield, MA
Compensation: $115 an hour
Start Date: As soon as credentialed! Schedule: 7A-7P days///7P-7A nights//10A-10P//7A-5P//5P-3A
Position Overview:
Practice Setting: ED
Percentage of Total Hospital Admissions Received from ED: 15%
Percentage of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital Per Day: 15%
Percentage of ED Patients Transferred Per Day: minimal maybe 1-2 pt per day maybe
Total Number of Beds: 44 beds
Number of ED Physicians in Group: 2 docs always present on each shift// 11 physicians in group currently
Fast Track in ED? Yes
Fast Track Staffed by APP
Percent of Total ED Volume Treated by Fast Track: 40%
Documentation System/EMR: Epic
Trauma Level/Designation: none--community hospital
Does ED Staff Respond to House Codes? Yes
If yes, are House Codes Secondary to ED Emergencies? secondary, response team is responsible. ED manages airway on response team
Do Hospital Bylaws Require a Specific Response Time for On Call Physicians? 30 mins or less
Are Deliveries Received in ED or Sent Directly to Labor & Delivery? L&D
Is ED Responsible for Monitoring/Supervising Paramedics/Ambulance by Radio? Yes
Describe Referral / Transfer Protocol (Include Name of the Referral Center and Distance from your Facility): transfer to STF as our hub
communication within the ED depts
Will APP be Working Autonomously? Yes
