Job description StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with a leading healthcare system in Louisiana to recruit experienced Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) to join a high-volume Emergency Department at a Level III Trauma Center. This ED sees approximately 60,000 patient visits annually and offers strong APP support alongside a team of board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians.

Position Highlights:
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and emergency treatments for a diverse patient population
  • Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, nursing staff, and specialists to manage both acute and non-acute cases
  • Order and interpret lab and imaging studies to support clinical decision-making
  • Perform emergency procedures as appropriate within APP scope of practice
  • Document and track patients using MediTech EMR
  • 72 hours of daily APP coverage with 12-hour shifts and varied start times (8 AM, 9 AM, 10 AM, 1 PM, 2 PM, and 4 PM)

Qualifications:
  • Board-Certified NP or PA with an active Louisiana license and prescriptive authority (required)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
  • ATLS certification (required)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency setting
  • Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adaptability
