Job description StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with one of the larger healthcare systems in the state of Louisiana to assist them in recruiting dedicated Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) to join their high-volume, Level III Trauma Center Emergency Department. This facility sees approximately 60,000 patient visits per year and provides excellent APP support, working alongside a team of board-certified emergency medicine physicians.

Position Highlights:
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and emergency treatments for a diverse patient population
  • Work in collaboration with emergency physicians, nurses, and specialists to manage both acute and non-acute cases
  • Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies to guide clinical decision-making
  • Manage emergency procedures as appropriate within the APP scope of practice
  • Utilize MediTech EMR for documentation and patient tracking
  • Participate in 72 hours of daily APP coverage with 12-hour shifts (varied start times at 8 AM, 9 AM, 10 AM, 1 PM, 2 PM, and 4 PM)

Qualifications:
  • Board-Certified NP/PA, with active license and prescriptive authority in the State of Louisiana required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • ATLS certification required

  • Strong clinical skills, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
