With over 30 medical specialties, ANMC serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people across the state. Working in collaboration with our emergency physicians and physician associates you will see patients on our medical center campus in our21 room ED. Responsibilities include: completing comprehensive histories and physical exams; ordering and interpreting tests; prescribing medications; developing treatment plans; and educating patients/families on treatment options,

Work Schedule: Full Time 144 shifts per year, including both Daytime and Nocturnal shifts

Qualifications: Degreed physician’s assistant; Certification by an approved national certifying body; Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification; State of Alaska Advanced Practice Provider License. Preferred: 2 to 5 years’ post-graduate experience as a PA managing emergency room patients; genuine interest in emergency medicine, astute clinical skills; superior communication and relationship building skills; flexible team player; culturally sensitive.
