NES Health seeks a Full-Time Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our practice at River Hospital located in Alexandria Bay, New York.

About the Hospital

  • 24 Bed Critical Access Hospital
  • 7 Post Acute Care Beds
  • Meditech Expanse EMR
  • Coverage includes:
    • Radiology
    • Hospitalist

About the Program and Hours

  • 9 Bed Emergency Department
  • 8,100 Annual visit ED
  • 24-hour EM APP shift (7a-7p)
  • ED is staffed by a single coverage EM APP.
  • EM APP performs advanced procedures and advanced airway management.
  • At Night, EM APP will write bridge orders for admissions and cover floor pts.
  • Hospitalist will come to the ED for volume surges and/or procedure assistance.
  • Average HM pt encounters per day: 7

Qualifications

  • Active New York license in the state or ability to attain unrestricted state license
  • Candidate Must be PA or FNP BE/BC
  • Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS and PALS
  • Prior experience as a solo provider in the ED
  • Advanced procedure and airway management skills and comfort
  • Must be comfortable with PED pts.
