Overview:
Glendale Adventist Medical Center (GAMC) is a 450 bed facility and one of the major emergency care providers in the area with the backup capabilities of an acute care medical center. As one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the area, GAMC provides treatment to over 40,000 patients annually and its 36 bed emergency department also includes a Fast Track area. GAMC has electronic patient tracking, bedside ultrasound and scribes. The ED has 50 hours of physician coverage and 20 hours of Allied Health Provider (AHP) coverage daily with double and triple coverage. Here are some facts about GAMC:
* 9.5 to 10.5 hour shifts
* On call services include: Peds, OB/GYN, Surgery, Ortho, ICU, Cardiology, Neurosurgery, and Pain Management
* Exceptional ED Nurses, Techs, and ancillary staff
* Cardiothoracic Surgery program, and Cath Lab
* Adult Hospitalist program
Requirements:
* California Physician Assistant license
* Current ACLS and PALS certifications
* Current DEA certification
* At least two years of Emergency Department experience

Glendale is located in the eastern edge of the San Fernando Valley, approximately 10 miles north of downtown Los Angeles. Compensation:
Allied Health Professionals (AHP) are employees of VEP. They receive an hourly base rate and an opportunity to earn productivity compensation at specific sites. AHPs are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, vision, dental, and life insurance, profit sharing, 401k, CME and license allowances. Our AHPs also enjoy the benefit of flexible schedules, paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage and the opportunity to become a stockholder which allows them to become actively involved in the governance of the company.
