Seeking Experienced Emergency Medicine PA / NP.

Emergency Department

  • ED Volume: 55,000
  • 42 Bed ED (main side and fast track)
  • 34 private, 32 which are monitored, Main Side rooms
  • Eight hallway beds
  • 8-10% of ED population is pediatrics
  • 15-18% admission rate (combined true hospital admits and observation admits)
  • Hospitalists admit 80% of the admitted patients in the hospital.
  • Cerner but moving to EPIC EMR System
  • Two Sonosite machines in ED
  • PACS radiology film reading on site
  • Splinting done by physicians, RNs
  • Coverage: D1 6:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. (8 hours); D2 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (8 hours); D3 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. (8 hours); E1 2-10:00 p.m. (8 hours ); E2 4-11:00 p.m. (7 hours); N1 7:00 p.m.-4:00 a.m. (9 hours); N2 10:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. (9 hours); APP 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (9 hours); APP 3:00 p.m.-12:00 midnight (9 hours)

Qualifications: licensed physician in the state or ability to attain unrestricted state license
