Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Physician Assistant (PA) Benefits
Base salary range is $145,600 to $195,000 based on experience
$20,000 - $30,000 sign on bonus (2 - 3 year agreement) - 50% paid before start date
Up to $50,000 student loan assistance possible via state and national programs
$14,000 - $16,500 relocation assistance paid after signing
10.2% annual retention bonus, $6,000 annual CME allowance, 45 total days off
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Physician Assistant (PA) Responsibilities and Facility Details
Provide primary and emergent care to local Native Alaskans
Clinic is equipped with cardiac monitor, x-ray, defibrillator, IV equipment, oxygen, casting equipment, and other advanced life support equipment
Inexpensive corporate pre-furnished housing located in close proximity to the clinic
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Physician Assistant (PA) Qualifications and Skills
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Physician Assistant (PA)
Must have a minimum of 5 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Strong experience with chronic care, urgent care, trauma, and emergent stabilization is required
Experience working with an underserved population in an environment with limited access to healthcare is preferred
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Physician Assistant (PA) Location
Alaska fishing village located on the coast of the Yukon-Delta - Direct flights to Anchorage
Village consists of 99% Yupiik Alaskan natives living a subsistence lifestyle
Recreational activities include local kayaking, berry picking, hunting, and fishing
Walking and all-terrain vehicles are the preferred methods of transportation
