You will play a vital role in maintaining a sterile environment, helping with patient positioning, draping, tissue handling, suturing, and postoperative dressing application. Key responsibilities include assisting the surgical team in preparing the operating room, ensuring all supplies and equipment are ready and functional, and supporting the surgeon during procedures through exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other technical functions. You will play a vital role in maintaining a sterile environment, helping with patient positioning, draping, tissue handling, suturing, and postoperative dressing application. Your expertise ensures procedures are performed efficiently, safely, and with the highest quality standards.
Required Skills:
- Certification as a Surgical First Assistant (CSFA)
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and operative techniques
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and equipment management
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to assist efficiently in an operating room setting
- Attention to detail and safety compliance
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous OR assisting experience
- Familiarity with various surgical specialties
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems related to operating room documentation
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certification as a CSFA from an accredited program
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an operating room environment or surgical assisting role
Other Requirements:
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Flexibility to work scheduled days
- No travel required; onsite role only

- Hourly Pay Rate: $54.94
