A respected, patient-centered dermatology practice in Natick, Massachusetts is seeking a full-time Dermatology Physician Assistant to join its growing clinical team. Responsibilities
The Dermatology Physician Assistant will evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of dermatologic conditions. Responsibilities include:
- Performing focused histories and dermatologic physical exams
- Developing differential diagnoses and evidence-based treatment plans
- Conducting skin cancer screenings
- Managing follow-up visits and ongoing treatment plans
- Performing in-office procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and basic excisions as appropriate
- Providing patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive skin care
- Reviewing lab and pathology results
- Responding to patient messages in a timely and professional manner
- Documenting encounters accurately in the electronic health record
- Coordinating care with dermatologists, clinical staff, and other team members
- Following clinic protocols, quality standards, safety procedures, and infection-control guidelines
- Participating in team meetings, supervision, feedback, and ongoing education
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field preferred
- Current Massachusetts Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Current or eligible NCCPA certification
- Minimum of 2 years of dermatology experience required
- Experience in medical, surgical, or cosmetic dermatology strongly preferred
- Comfort performing dermatologic assessments and recognizing common and serious skin conditions
- Experience or comfort with procedures such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and simple excisions
- Strong clinical documentation skills
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly and compassionately
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail in a busy outpatient clinic
- Commitment to evidence-based care, professional integrity, and continuous learning
