We are seeking an experienced Dermatology Physician Assistant for a full-time locum tenens assignment in Clifton Springs, New York. This role involves delivering high-volume outpatient dermatology care in a collaborative clinical environment with strong support staff.
🔹 Evaluate, diagnose, and manage dermatologic conditions
🔹 Provide outpatient dermatology care in a busy clinic setting
🔹 Support float coverage to nearby dermatology locations when needed
🔹 Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR
🔹 Work closely with physicians, RNs, and clinical staff
🔹 Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care delivery
Schedule & Work Details
📅 Full-Time Coverage (July – January)
🕘 Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
📞 No Call Required
👥 Patient Volume: 25–35 patients/day
🤝 Support Staff: 1 clinical staff per ~12 patients
💻 EMR: EPIC
Job Responsibilities
🔹 Provide comprehensive dermatologic evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for adult patients
🔹 Manage a high-volume outpatient clinic (25–35 patients/day) efficiently and safely
🔹 Perform routine dermatology procedures within scope of practice
🔹 Document all patient encounters accurately in EPIC EMR
🔹 Collaborate with supervising physicians, RNs, LPNs, and MAs for coordinated patient care
🔹 Support clinical workflow and patient triage to ensure smooth daily operations
🔹 Float to affiliated dermatology locations as needed to support coverage
🔹 Deliver patient education on skin conditions, treatments, and preventive care
🔹 Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, quality standards, and documentation requirements
🔹 Maintain timely and compliant charting for all patient encounters
Qualifications
✅ Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
✅ Active New York License (required)
✅ Minimum 3 years of recent dermatology experience
✅ BLS Certification required
✅ Strong proficiency in EPIC EMR
✅ Excellent clinical judgment and patient management skills
Working Hours
🔹 Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
🔹 Schedule Type: Full-time locum assignment

🔹 Clinic Model: Outpatient dermatology practice
