Physician Assistant – Trauma & Acute Care Surgery (Full-Time Nocturnist)
Location: Loveland, Colorado
Setting: High-acuity medical center
Shift: 12-hour overnights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Team Size: 3 Providers
Role Type: Permanent, full-time (not locums; not locums-to-perm)
Visa Sponsorship: Not available (No J-1 / H-1B)
Quick-Screen Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years trauma surgery experience
- or completion of a surgical fellowship
- Not accepting new graduates
- Autonomous practice capability: Required
- Licensure: Active/eligible Colorado PA license (implied—confirm if needed)
- EMR: Epic proficiency required
- Provide full-spectrum trauma and emergency general surgery care during overnight shifts
- Manage:
- Trauma admissions
- Emergency general surgical patients
- Inpatient care
- Perform:
- Comprehensive evaluations
- Care plan development
- Diagnostics interpretation
- Resuscitation support
- Operative support with trauma surgeons
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary trauma and acute care teams
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in Epic
- Support service quality, safety, and performance initiatives
- Participate in professional development and potential leadership opportunities
- This is a permanent nocturnist role, not available for locums coverage
- No locums-to-perm pathway
- Candidates must be able to manage high-acuity trauma independently
- Competitive base salary
