JOB TYPE: Per Diem
Work Schedule: 12.5 -hour shifts 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM; 7 PM to 7:30 AM

White Plains Hospital, a 292 bed, leading award-winning hospital, located 25 miles north of Manhattan, in White Plains, Westchester NY, is looking for NY licensed Physician Assistant (PA) -Critical Care Per Diems due to the COVID- 19 Surge.OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: TBD, at least 3 months

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This Physician Assistant is responsible for:- Facilitating care and management of patients admitted to the ICU.
- Consultation for potential ICU candidates from the ER, floor, or post-operative patients.
- Round on ICU/CCU inpatients and facilitate the appropriate care.
- Responding to calls and facilitating placement of non-emergent central lines when deemed appropriate by the critical care attending.
- Counsels patient/family on health care matters
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PA- Critical Care
- Current New York State Licensed Physician Assistant
- Current National Certification
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Critical Care is required
