Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care Fellowship

Cultivating certified providers with the highest regard for evidence-based medicine, professional practice, and critical care clinical experience.

Our vision is to prepare outstanding acute care nurse practitioners and certified physician assistants with in-depth didactic material, practical simulation, and strong clinical experiences, while developing critical thinking and procedural skills for successful critical care practice.

Fellowship program
Our 9 month program at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital gives acute care nurse practitioners or physician assistants the post-training competence with common invasive ICU procedures allowing them to rapidly enter the ICU provider workforce. New graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants must be acute care boarded, licensed NP or PA with an active Florida license before starting the fellowship
  • Rotations with focus on critically ill cardiovascular, medical, neuro, and surgical patient populations
  • Receive feedback through exams, regular evaluations by each mentor, and competency-based procedure validation forms
  • Supervised Clinical hours and dedicated educational hours each week
  • 36-48 hours each week combined clinical work and didactic learning
