Job Description
Two days of the week the physician assistant sees patients independently of the physician: Kissimmee is the primary office location, typical office hours are 8-5. This is highly busy office.
Under the supervising physician provide efficient, cost-effective, quality outpatient care in accordance with established rules and regulations defining the nurse practitioner scope of practice. Functions as an extension of the physician in diagnosing and treating patient conditions by performing tasks or a combination of tasks traditionally performed by the physician.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
*Current registration with the Medical Licensing Board of Florida and current certification by the *National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
*Requires current CPR certification.
*Requires professional knowledge and application skills for patient diagnosis and treatment.
*Requires ability to educate and counsel patients and families on medications; diseases; treatment plans; procedures; and preventive health care.
*Candidates need to have a master's degree or greater. Graduate from an accredited School of Physician Assistant training program.
