We’re currently seeking a Physician Assistant - Surgery Cardiothoracic to join our amazing team.
Details of the Opening:
- Start Date: 8/24/2026
- Regular Shift: 0600–1830, Weeknight Call: 1800–0600 (1 night per week), Weekend Call: 0600–0600 (rotating), Monthly coverage varies; schedule provided by the facility
- Facility Type: Academic Hospital
- Practice Setting: Cardiothoracic/Cardiac Surgery Operating Room (OR First Assist)
- EMR/Charting Software: Epic
- Avg. Daily Census: Approximately 517 pump cases annually (2025 volume)
- Patient Age Group: Adult
- Procedures: Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair and replacement (aortic, mitral, tricuspid), ascending aortic surgery (including emergent dissections), left atrial appendage exclusion, Maze procedures, redo sternotomies, mechanical circulatory support procedures (Impella, ECMO cannulation, IABP exposure), endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH), sternotomy opening and closure, chest tube and temporary pacing wire placement
- Equipment: Maquet EVH System
Job Qualifications:
- Board Certification Required
- MO license
- BLS required; RNFA preferred for NPs
- Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience
