ATC West Healthcare Services seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP or PA) for a full-time, outpatient-only cardiology locum tenens assignment. The provider will manage follow-up and annual cardiology visits, acute outpatient evaluations, and inbox coverage—without any inpatient, rounding, procedural, call, or weekend responsibilities. This role requires strong independent clinical skills and cardiology experience within a team-based clinic environment.

Dates / Schedule

  • Start Date: As soon as credentialed (credentialing up to 90 days)

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm

  • FTE: 1.0

  • Assignment Duration: 6–9 months

  • Setting: Outpatient clinic only

Job Details & Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient cardiology coverage as a locum tenens APP (ARNP or PA).

  • Conduct approximately 16 patient visits per day, focusing on follow-up and established patient care.

  • Manage annual cardiology visits, post-procedure follow-ups, and acute outpatient cardiology assessments.

  • Provide inbox coverage for providers who are out of office.

  • No inpatient responsibilities, hospital rounding, procedures, call, or weekend work.

  • Work collaboratively with a full support team including MAs, RNs, and front office staff.

  • Use EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management.

  • Must be comfortable practicing independently within a team-based model.

  • Interpret cardiology imaging and diagnostic testing for complex patient management.

  • Coverage reason: Backfilling departing APP.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • WA State License (required)

  • DEA and NPI (required)

  • Clean malpractice history (highly preferred)

  • Outpatient cardiology experience (deal breaker)

  • EPIC EMR proficiency (deal breaker)

  • Ability to independently assess, diagnose, and manage complex cardiology patients.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and clinical assessment skills.

  • Proficiency interpreting cardiology imaging and diagnostic studies.

  • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively within a team-based environment.
