Our client, a leading academic medical center renowned for its advanced neurosurgical and neuroendovascular care, is hiring a Physician Assistant (PA) Neuroendovascular. Join a dynamic department dedicated to innovative cerebrovascular and neuroendovascular treatment. This pivotal role involves providing expert clinical and procedural care for patients with cerebrovascular conditions, assisting in complex neurointerventional procedures, and supporting a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and pre-procedure assessments for neuroendovascular patients.
  • Assist in neuroendovascular procedures, including patient preparation and post-procedure management, under the supervision of attending physicians.
  • Participate in inpatient rounds, develop care plans, and facilitate safe discharges.
  • Support outpatient clinics with patient evaluations, follow-ups, and documentation.
  • Assist with procedural scheduling, coordinate interdepartmental activities, and partake in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between neuroendovascular and neurosurgery teams for seamless patient care.
  • Provide support in general neurosurgery tasks such as admit, discharge, and emergency procedures as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NYS PA license and registration, NCCPA certification (PA-C).
  • Active DEA license and Infection Control certification.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications preferred.
  • Prior experience in Neurosurgery, Interventional Radiology, Neurology, or a procedural specialty is advantageous.
  • Strong clinical judgment, procedural skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and EMR proficiency.
