Job description Seeking a full-time Cardiology NP or PA to join our expanding cardiovascular team in the scenic Adirondack foothills. This is a direct hospital-employed position within a stable, independent, nonprofit health system serving a diverse rural population.
  • 175k salary, 20k sign-on bonus, up to 10k relocation

Practice Highlights

  • Four-day workweek (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)

  • Comfortable practicing autonomously in a high-acuity, rural setting

Job Responsibilities

As a Cardiology APP, you will conduct outpatient cardiology visits in the clinic and perform consults for non-CCU/ICU inpatients. You will supervise and proctor in-office stress tests, manage and interpret EKGs, Holter monitors, and event recorders, and assist with pacemaker and loop recorder insertions and follow-up. Your responsibilities include performing and assisting with cardioversions, responding to urgent calls from the ER or hospitalists regarding admissions or transfers (with no after-hours in-person call), and coordinating patient care with referring primary care providers and specialists. You will document all patient encounters using Meditech Expanse EMR, with virtual scribe support as available, and collaborate with office coordinators for patient intake, vitals, and rooming. Educating patients and families on cardiovascular conditions, procedures, and treatment plans is essential. You will also participate in quality improvement initiatives and chronic disease management programs, and stay current with CME and professional development activities.
