Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity – Bariatric & General Surgery
*Location: Rapid City, SD| Full-Time, permanent position (40 hours/week)*
Position Overview
An experienced and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) is sought to join a collaborative General Surgery team in Rapid City. The Advanced Practice Provider will work under physician supervision to deliver high-quality surgical and perioperative care, focusing on the management of complex and at-risk patients.
Position Highlights
* Operating room and first assist responsibilities (20%+ of time)
* Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
* Opportunity to participate in inpatient and emergency call coverage (as applicable)
* Perform and assist with surgical procedures
* Conduct patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning
* Order and interpret appropriate tests, procedures, and therapies
* Manage post-operative care and follow-up
* Provide timely and thorough documentation in compliance with policies and regulations
Qualifications
* Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) – South Dakota Board of Nursing or
Physician Assistant (PA) – South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners
* 1+ year of clinical or surgical experience preferred
* Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
* Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care
Schedule & Compensation
* Full-time; 40 hours per week
