Locums | CT/Vascular Surgery NP | Springfield, OH (OH license) Why This Role

  • OH license
  • First assist for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery
  • Temp privileges possible in ~1 week for clean files
  • 1-2 weeks/month through 2027 — locums-to-perm potential
  • Vein harvesting during heart surgery
Assignment Details Start/end: 9/8/2026 (7am) through 9/18, then 1-2 weeks/month until 2027 (may adjust if a current locum covers some) Schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-5p plus floor call/beeper 3p-7a; Saturday and Sunday 24-hour onsite support with floor or OR call; weekend callback ~10 hours Coverage type: Inpatient/hospital-based, plus call Volume: 20-26 hospital patients/day Setting: Level 2 trauma; adult and geriatric; Springfield's only full-service hospital Support: Could possibly supervise/teach EMR: Epic Credentialing: 90-120 days; temp privileges potentially within a week with quick submission and a clean file Clinical Details Required scope: Post-op care for all cardiothoracic and vascular patients; emergency surgery on CT and vascular patients; consults/referrals from ED, cath lab, and hospital providers; assist in surgery; vein harvesting during heart surgery and retrieval of vascular tissue for bypass conduit; prescriptions, care coordination, rounding, test interpretation and ordering Minimum 5 years CT and vascular surgery experience required Requirements ANCC/AANP-certified NP with cardiothoracic and vascular surgical background Minimum 5 years CT/vascular surgery experience License: Active OH required (will not accept providers who need to obtain) ACLS Active DEA Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
