Radiologist Assistant opportunity in Indiana, PA - Located 55 miles from Pittsburgh Position Details:

  • Seeking a highly skilled and certified Radiologist Assistant (RA) to join our radiology team.
  • The RA will work under the direct supervision of licensed radiologists to enhance the efficiency and quality of radiologic services.
  • The ideal candidate will serve as an advanced-level radiologic technologist, performing radiologic assessments, patient evaluations, and performing basic interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Perform initial patient assessments and obtain relevant clinical history and laboratory values to support accurate diagnostic imaging. Communicate preliminary findings to supervising radiologists and dictate preliminary reports. Perform imaging procedures including fluoroscopy, Barium and Gastrografin procedures, arthrogram injections, Paracentesis and Thoracentesis, Pain/Steroid injections, Port injections, Cystograms, Lumbar Punctures, Myelograms, Nephrostomy tube injections/exchanges, NG tube insertion. Monitor and ensure patient safety, comfort, and understanding during imaging exams. Provide patient education regarding procedures and post-procedure care. Review radiographs with supervising Radiologist and perform preliminary dictations. Collaborate with radiology technologists, nurses, and referring physicians to ensure seamless coordination of care. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Radiologist Assistant educational program. ARRT certification as a Registered Radiologist Assistant (R.R.A). Minimum of 3 years of experience as a radiologic technologist, preferably in a hospital or large clinic setting. Salary and benefits: Full-Time Position: $110,000 to $130,000 per year depending on experience PTO: 4 weeks depending on experience Holidays: 6 Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance Long Term Disability & Group Life Insurance Continuing Education - $3,000/year Retirement – 401K Paid Malpractice Insurance Sign-on Bonus About Group and Location: Newly renovated, hospital-based, state-of-the-art operating suites available as well as an ambulatory surgery center for outpatient procedures. Large referral base from other 80 providers in the multi-specialty group. Located 60 miles east of Pittsburgh, PA, this independent 166-bed acute care community hospital celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2014. It is the sole community provider for this college town, and rural county.
