Locums | Cardiovascular Surgery NP | Inpatient + Call | Lansing, MI Why This Role

  • Join an established cardiac and vascular surgery service at a Level I trauma center
  • Inpatient rounding–focused role with no operating room responsibilities
  • Predictable 4-day workweek with structured call and weekend coverage
Assignment Details Start Date: February 2026 End Date: Ongoing Schedule: 4-day, 10-hour shifts Coverage Type: Inpatient rounding with call Practice Setting: Inpatient Call Schedule: 1 in 4 weeks first call from home Weekend Coverage: 1 weekend per month Clinical Details Average Patients Per Day: Approximately 15 (weekends 15–30) CVICU Census: Typically 2–3 per day, up to 8 CVSU Census: Approximately 2–5 per day including discharges Vascular Patients: Approximately 4–10 across ICU and floor Weekend Coverage: Solo APP coverage Trauma Level: Level I Trauma Center EMR: Epic Requirements Board certified Nurse Practitioner Active Michigan license preferred BLS and ACLS required Experienced APP only; no new graduates Clean malpractice and license history strongly preferred NPDB self-query required at presentation Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
