APP – Oncology Location: Bridgeport, CT Oncology Experience as a PA, NP, or RN Preferred. Shift Detail: Monday – Friday (Daytime, Full-Time) Position Overview: An exciting opportunity is available for an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a dedicated and collaborative team providing value-based care to oncology patients in practice-based settings within the Fairfield Region. This role works closely with attending surgeons, physicians, and care teams to deliver comprehensive cancer care and improve patient outcomes. Highlights of the Opportunity: • Collaborate with attending surgeons, clinical nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to support the management of oncology patients. • Provide direct patient care in office consultations, including assessments, workups, triage, emergency visits, and ongoing treatment support. • Conduct health histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and provide counseling on diagnoses and treatment plans. • Prescribe appropriate medications, perform follow-ups, and coordinate patient outreach as needed. • Apply evidence-based practices and clinical judgment to deliver high-quality, patient-centered oncology care. • Supportive work environment with approachable physicians who provide mentorship and training. • Professional development and advancement opportunities, including leadership training and ongoing clinical education. • Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits package, and retirement matching. Qualifications: • Eligibility for Connecticut licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). • Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) or national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP). • Oncology experience as a PA, NP, or RN preferred.
