Neurosurgery PA opening in Cooperstown, NY A progressive academic health system in Central New York is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its Neurosurgery Division, working alongside two surgeons and another advanced practice provider. Position Highlights: * Participate in clinic (new, established, and post-op patients), telemedicine, floor management, and first-assist in the OR * No neurosurgery call required; general surgical call is optional with additional compensation * OR days: 2 - 3 times per week; clinic typically runs 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM * Strong academic affiliations with major teaching institutions * Previous surgical experience preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits: * Salary range: $122,086 - $150,000 (based on experience, education, and licensure) * Sign-on bonus up to $50k * Generous paid time off * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Retirement plan * Paid malpractice coverage * CME support (time and allowance) * Supportive transition bonus Qualifications: * National certification as a Physician Assistant * NY State licensure * BLS and DEA certification required This opportunity is located in a scenic lakeside village offering year-round outdoor recreation, cultural amenities, and a high quality of life within driving distance to Albany, Syracuse, and other Northeast metro areas.
