Orthopedic APP (Total Joint) opening – Conway, SC Located 10 miles from Myrtle Beach Position Details

  • Seeking an Orthopedic APP specializing in total joint care (hips, knees, shoulders)
  • Focus on diagnosing and treating general orthopedic conditions with an emphasis on joint replacement patients
  • Inpatient and outpatient role
  • Standard schedule: Monday‚ÄìFriday, 8:00am‚Äì5:00pm
  • Protected administrative time: 4 hours per week
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary orthopedic team environment
  • EMR: Cerner Assignment Details
  • Average patient volume: 17‚Äì20 patients per day
  • Adult patient population with a focus on joint replacement candidates
  • Call for APP: - Clinic call first, then backup call to the on-call physician
  • Physician call (for context): - ED call shared approximately 1:8‚Äì1:9 - Clinic call approximately 1:6
  • Dedicated orthopedic nursing support, additional APPs, and experienced surgical teams Clinical Details
  • Visit types: - Initial orthopedic consultations - Pre-operative planning - Post-operative follow-ups - Management of chronic orthopedic conditions per supervising physician care plans
  • Joint replacement experience strongly preferred
  • Mako robotics experience welcomed
  • In-office procedures: bread-and-butter orthopedic care Facilities & Diagnostics
  • Integrated campus with hospital, clinic, and ASC for streamlined care
  • Operating rooms: - Main hospital with 10 ORs - ASC with 4 ORs and 11 pre-/post-op bays
  • Imaging and diagnostics available: - X-ray - CT - 3T MRI (including advanced breast and prostate imaging) - Digital mammography with 3D tomosynthesis - Nuclear medicine with SPECT/CT - PET/CT Requirements
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Orthopedic or total joint experience strongly preferred
  • Eligible for licensure in South Carolina Benefits Details
