PA - Ortho Surgery opening - Coos Bay, OR Located in Coastal Oregon Position Details

Full-time, permanent
Comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services in addition to a great atmosphere with many growth opportunities.
Day Shift + On call TBD based on number of providers sharing the call
Ability to work weekends occasionally
Opening due to growth and expansion of services

Work closely with surgeons from
Call: shared equitably
Surgical Assist, ED consults, floor rounding, pre and post op, patient education
Order tests, review labs, prescribe medications, progress and discharge notes
Custom orientation adapted to your skills
In collaboration with the attending physician, prepares and records patient history, develops and implements a plan of care
Participates in daily rounds on assigned patients and documents the pertinent symptoms, findings, diagnoses and care plans.
Utilizes electronic medical record for order entry and documentation.
Participates in multidisciplinary rounding
Responds to coding and documentation queries and participates as requested in quality and safety initiatives.
