NP/PA Utilization Review Advisor Opportunity in Greenville, NC (Partial Remote)

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Medical Center, located in Greenville, North Carolina, are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work as a Utilization Review Advisor. The successful applicants will be a part of ECU Health Clinical Documentation Advisor Program, with close working relationships with both the utilization review and appeals staff. Applicants must have at least three years of inpatient clinical experience. Previous utilization management experience is not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must. Applicants who reside in North Carolina are preferred.

  • Partial remote work opportunity-applicants must have a North Carolina medical license and DEA
  • 7 on 7 off schedule
  • Responsibilities will include status determination and providing guidance for length of stay, resource utilization, compliance, provider education, and clinical documentation (85% review, 10% education, 5% special projects)
  • Productivity and compliance metric goals will be required
  • The advisor will report to the UR Physician Advisor Director and will serve as a member of the UR committee
