Annual Salary: $130k-$150k (varies depending on years of experience)
A multi-specialty community health center in Brooklyn is seeking a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join its growing gynecology program. This role offers the chance to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a mission-driven setting that serves individuals from a wide range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
The WHNP will deliver preventive and routine gynecologic care, manage a variety of women’s health concerns, and work alongside a collaborative team of physicians, NPs, and other healthcare professionals dedicated to improving access to care.
Responsibilities
- Provide annual exams, routine checkups, and problem visits
- Counsel patients on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning options
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and lab results
- Diagnose and treat common gynecologic conditions, including STIs
- Perform in-office procedures such as IUD insertion, Nexplanon placement/removal, and vulvar or endometrial biopsies
- Prescribe and manage medications as appropriate
- Educate patients on preventive health practices and chronic disease management
- Maintain detailed and timely patient records using an electronic health record (eClinicalWorks experience preferred)
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team (physicians, social workers, RNs, MAs, etc.) to coordinate patient care
- Contribute to clinic operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while ensuring quality and compassionate care
Qualifications
- Valid NP licenses in New York State
- Board certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (required)
- At least 2 years of NP experience in a women’s health or gynecology setting
- Skilled in outpatient gynecologic procedures (IUDs, Nexplanon, biopsies)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to provide culturally sensitive care
- Team-oriented with the ability to adapt to a busy clinical environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records; eCW experience a plus
