Pediatric/Adolescent Women’s Health OBGYN APP
Location: Major Children’s Hospital – Central Ohio
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8s)
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Type: Full-time, on-site
Reason for Coverage: High patient demand – appointment backlog of 4–5 months
Position Highlights:
Join a highly respected Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology program at a major academic children's hospital. This specialized subspecialty under OBGYN provides a critical service to young patients needing expert gynecologic and sexual health care.
Responsibilities:
- Manage gynecologic care for adolescent and pediatric patients (primarily ages 10 and up)
- Conduct birth control counseling and STI education with minors and their families
- Administer and manage IUDs, Nexplanon, and other contraceptive options
- Collaborate closely with attending physicians; younger patients are managed by MDs directly
Requirements:
- Must be a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (NP); no PAs or new grads
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in family practice or women’s health
- Demonstrated comfort and experience providing adolescent gynecologic care
- Ohio license required (no licensing support available due to urgency)
Credentialing:
- Temporary privileges possible for OH-licensed providers
- Standard credentialing: 4–6 weeks
