COMPENSATION:
- $130,000 to $150,000 Base Salary, dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
Having opened its first office more than 20 years ago, this organization is now the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater NYC metro area. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, and more. Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The women’s health nurse practitioner will provide medical services in collaboration with ob/gyn physicians, working together to provide the highest quality of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination, preventive healthcare, and health maintenance.

Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- obtain and document patient history as appropriate to chief complaint or reason for visit
- conduct relevant physical exams and evaluate patients, documenting pertinent findings
- treat routine gynecological problems, such as vaginal yeast bacterial or urinary tract infections
- perform pap smears, screens for cervical cancer, and tests for sexually transmitted diseases
- diagnose and treat pelvic conditions
- conduct breast exams
- provide contraception options, breast self-examination materials, and lactation education
- prescribe medications
- order appropriate laboratory, radiological, and special examinations / tests; interpret results
- instruct and counsel patients by describing therapeutic regimens
- collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care of patients
- be willing to be trained in gynecological procedures
- attend staff educational programs and meetings
- work closely and collaborate with designated physicians for patient care

A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference and types of appointments scheduled.

All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.

The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.

This position has no weekends, no evenings, and no on-call.


REQUIREMENTS:
- New York PA license
- DEA
- 1+ year women’s health experience as a nurse practitioner
- must be fluent in Spanish
