Nurse Practitioner – Urology (Physician’s Office)

Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
Department: Urology
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week)

  • Call Schedule: Rotating

  • Weekends: None

  • Holidays: None

COMPENSATION

  • Salary Range: $115,000 – $135,000 annually

    • Final compensation based on experience, education, internal equity, and market factors

    • Provided in compliance with Vermont Act 155

PRACTICE SETTING

  • Setting: Physician Office (Urology)

  • Organization: Hospital – owned/managed practices

  • Support Staff: LPNs or Medical Assistants and clerical support

  • Collaborative Model: Works under a supervising Urology physician

ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Assist Urology surgeon with diagnosis and treatment of urologic conditions

  • Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment plans

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests

  • Assist with surgeries and procedures

  • Provide patient education and manage post-operative care

  • Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS (REQUIRED / PREFERRED)

  • Education:

    • Master’s degree from an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program

  • Licensure:

    • Active Vermont APRN license (required)

  • Board Certification:

    • Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner (national certification preferred/recognized by VT BON)

  • Experience:

    • Two years of nursing experience in Urology preferred

  • Certifications:

    • Healthcare Provider CPR

    • DEA license

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (SUMMARY)

  • Clinical environment with potential exposure to blood/body fluids (OSHA Category I)

  • Standing, walking, and sitting throughout the day

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Requires manual dexterity, close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus

  • Typical noise levels range from quiet to moderate
