Job Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner - Urology

This full-time position, based in a supportive physician office setting, allows you to make a meaningful impact in a community-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Urology surgeon in diagnosing and treating urologic conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement treatment and care plans.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Participate in urologic surgeries and office-based procedures.
• Provide education for patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans.
• Manage post-operative and follow-up care.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff.
• Adhere to universal precautions and OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards.
• Work in an environment with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases.
• Support departmental operations alongside LPNs, medical assistants, and clerical staff.
• Practice under the supervision of a physician in a physician office setting.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Vermont APRN License.
• Two (2) years of nursing experience in Urology.
• Healthcare Provider CPR Certification.
• Credentialable by Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Medical Staff.
• DEA License.
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Eligible for credentialing by Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Medical Staff.
• National APRN certification recognized by the Vermont State Board of Nursing (preferred).
