We are seeking a highly skilled Locum NP/PA to provide inpatient urology services at Berkshire Health System. This role is vital to delivering exceptional patient care in a hospital-based setting, collaborating with a team of experienced urologists, and ensuring continuity of care. What You Will Do:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient urology care, including general urology and post-operative management.
- Collaborate with a team of 5 urologists, assisting with patient rounds and post-op care.
- Manage a varied inpatient census of approximately 6-8 patients per shift.
- Work onsite with access to lab services and utilize Meditech EMR for documentation.
- Enjoy shifts scheduled from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with no on-call duties.
- Cover assigned dates from February 2, 2026, through March 31, 2026, offering flexibility to fit your schedule.
Required Skills:
- Active NP or PA license in Massachusetts.
- Prior experience in urology, particularly inpatient post-op care.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage multiple inpatients efficiently.
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR system.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with hospital-based urology care in a team setting.
- Familiarity with inpatient surgeries and postoperative protocols.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and patient needs.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
- At least 2 years of recent experience in urology or hospital medicine.
- Prior locum or temporary coverage experience is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel to Pittsfield, MA, with facility reimbursements available for flights, hotels, rental cars, and mileage at IRS rates.
- Certification in ACLS or PALS is a plus.
- Must pass background check and comply with all healthcare regulations.
Position Details:
- Hourly Pay Rate: Competitive, to be discussed.
- Shifts: Varied, with scheduled hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Duration: February 2, 2026, to March 31, 2026.
