Job Description:

This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other activities as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Consultation and Referral Plan (DOPL) or other similar documentation as appropriate. As part of that patient care, this position is accountable to: deliver optimal patient care through effective clinical practice; education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others; consultation with other healthcare providers; and maintain current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes.

This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join the Urology team at Utah Valley Urology Clinic in Provo, Utah. This role is a key member of the multidisciplinary team made up of 3 Physicians and 3 other APPs, committed to providing quality care to our patients.

Job Essentials

Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) accountable for the provision of patient care and other duties as permitted by licensure within their scope of practice. Licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as:

  • This APP provider will see a panel of 10 - 14 patients per day in clinicMaintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
  • Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
  • Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;
  • Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
  • Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
  • Consultation with other healthcare providers;
  • Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
  • Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.

Advanced Practice Providers may also participate in research, utilize evidence-based practice to improve quality patient care, protocol development, care process model development, and best practice standards for assigned patient population throughout our organization.
