Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Job Details
- Position Type: Locum tenens Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (contract/travel healthcare job)
- Healthcare Setting: Urgent Care Center
- Location: Rockingham, North Carolina 28379 (Eastern NC urgent care jobs)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (option to extend)
- Weekly Hours: 36 (12-hour shifts, flexible scheduling)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $3150 - $3370
- Patient Population: Adults and Pediatrics (ages 6 months+)
- Average Patient Encounters: 30 per shift
- EMR System: Epic (training provided)
Nurse Practitioner Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care or acute care settings
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in North Carolina
- Board Certification
- BLS certification
- Experience with Epic EMR (training available)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as the sole provider
Healthcare Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive urgent care and acute care services to patients ages 6 months and up
- Perform minor procedures: I&D, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and more
- Accurately document patient encounters in Epic EMR
- Collaborate with Center Manager, Medical Assistant, and Patient Service Associate
- Complete onboarding and EMR training before first solo shift
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care environment
