This role offers the chance to work autonomously, supported by a supervising physician accessible via phone, in a reputable clinic that emphasizes episodic care and injury treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver episodic and injury-related care to patients of all ages, including adolescents, children, adults, and geriatrics.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a variety of urgent health conditions efficiently and effectively.
- Document patient encounters accurately using the Anthem EMR system.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians as needed to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Manage cases autonomously while adhering to clinical protocols and standards.
Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Virginia.
- Proven experience in urgent care or occupational health environments.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Anthem.
- Familiarity with occupational health protocols and documentation.
- Basic procedural skills related to injury treatment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent urgent care or emergency nursing experience.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work ongoing as needed with flexible scheduling.
- Willingness to travel within the local area for reimbursement purposes (mileage reimbursed at IRS Standard Rate).
- Reliable access to necessary certifications and licensure.
