Required Skills
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia or ability to obtain one promptly
- Proven experience in urgent care and occupational health settings
- Strong clinical skills in episodic care, injury assessment, and treatment
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with supervising physicians
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Anthem or similar systems
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
Nice to Have Skills
- Bilingual capabilities
- Experience working with diverse populations, including geriatrics and pediatrics
- Knowledge of occupational health protocols and documentation standards
- Certification in ACLS or BLS
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP)
- Minimum of 2 years of urgent care and occupational health experience
- Prior locum or temporary staffing experience is advantageous
Other Requirements
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation for mileage reimbursement (local providers only)
- Valid ACLS/BLS certifications preferred
- Willingness to travel within Lynchburg or local area as needed
