Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Urgent Care

Locations: Hickory – Viewmont, Hickory – Mountain View, Morganton, Newton, Sherrills Ford, and Taylorsville, NC

A well-established and growing urgent care group in western North Carolina is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team across multiple clinic locations. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while providing high-quality care to the surrounding communities.


Position Overview

The incoming provider will deliver comprehensive urgent care services for patients presenting with a variety of acute conditions. The practice offers modern facilities with in-house diagnostic capabilities and a strong clinical support team.

This role is ideal for providers with prior Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience who are comfortable treating a broad range of conditions and working with adult patients.

Practice Details

  • 6 Urgent Care Locations:
    • Hickory – Viewmont
    • Hickory – Mountain View
    • Morganton
    • Newton
    • Sherrills Ford
    • Taylorsville
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Clinic Hours:
    • Monday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 8:30 PM
    • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • No appointments scheduled during the final 30 minutes of each shift
  • Two NP/PA providers typically scheduled per location
  • Modern clinics with in-house labs and digital X-ray capabilities
  • Additional services include drug screenings, physicals, TB testing, and workers’ compensation care

Compensation & Benefits

  • $60 – $80 per hour, depending on experience
  • IRA with 3% employer match
  • $2,500 CME allowance annually
  • Licensure reimbursement
  • Paid Time Off accrual up to 80 hours per year
  • Flexible scheduling options

Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Prior Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience preferred
  • Comfortable treating adult patients and managing a wide variety of acute conditions
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
