A growing healthcare organization with a large multi-state presence is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a fast-paced Urgent Care practice in Plattsburgh, New York. This full-time opportunity allows providers to deliver high-quality care to both adult and pediatric patients while working in a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality urgent care services for adult and pediatric patients
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs and imaging
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans for patients
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Educate patients on treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up instructions
• Support a positive, patient-centered clinical environment

Qualifications

Required
• Active licensure as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in New York
• Physician Assistant: Board Certification through NCCPA
• Nurse Practitioner: Board Certification through AANP or ANCC
• Minimum 1 year of experience in urgent care or emergency medicine
• Ability to treat both adult and pediatric patients
Preferred
• 18 months of emergency medicine experience or 2 years in a high-volume urgent care setting
• Experience managing high patient volumes in fast-paced environments

Working Hours

• Full-Time schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
