An excellent Urgent Care locums opportunity is available in Rockingham, North Carolina for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ready to step into a fast-paced, high-impact outpatient setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat urgent care patients in an outpatient setting
• Manage both adult and pediatric cases ages 6 months and up
• Perform minor urgent care procedures including laceration repair and I&D
• Provide efficient high-volume patient care while maintaining quality standards
• Document all visits in EMR
• Work as the sole provider on shift with support staff onsite
• Maintain strong patient communication and service-focused care

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina license required
• Board Certified required (EM Med, Acute Care, Urgent Care, or Family Practice)
• Nurse Practitioner certification or NCCPA certification required
• BLS required
• Active NC DEA required
• Minimum 12 months urgent care experience required
• Must be comfortable seeing pediatric patients ages 6 months and up
• DOT experience required
• ACLS and PALS preferred

Working Hours

• Start: ASAP
• Ongoing coverage
• Scheduled clinical hours only
• Training and onboarding required prior to first solo shift
• EMR training required
