Job description
Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to support a solo-coverage Urgent Care through a locum opportunity starting ASAP. Located in Montrose, Colorado, This opportunity is ideal for an experienced NP who is confident working independently, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking for consistent full-time coverage with a supportive on-site team.
Specialty: NP– Urgent Care (Solo Coverage)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3 months with potential for extension
Schedule Details:
• Full-time: 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Alternating weekend coverage (every other weekend)
Work Details:
• Solo provider coverage in a high-volume Urgent Care
• Patient volume: 40+ patients per day
• Patient population: All ages
• Support staff: 5 on-site
• EMR: Greenway (transitioning to Athena mid-year)
• Procedures: No required procedures, but must be comfortable performing typical Urgent Care procedures such as:
- Suturing
- Wound care
- Abscess evaluation and management
Requirements:
• Board Certification: Required
• License: Active CO license
• Certification: DOT required
• Experience: 3+ years of Urgent Care experience
