Job description Locums NP/PA – Urgent Care (Float Pool)
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Multiple Area Sites)
Key Availability Details
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Schedule: Dates to be discussed
  • Call: None
  • Patients per Shift: Average 40 (up to 60 depending on site)
  • EMR: Epic
Clinical Role
  • Specialty: Urgent Care
  • Position Type: NP / PA
  • Setting: Urgent Care Centers
  • Patient Population: Adults and Pediatrics (6 months and older)
  • Volume: High-volume urgent care environment
Required Experience
  • Minimum 12 months urgent care experience
  • Must have experience treating both adults and pediatric patients
  • New graduates will not be considered
Scope of Practice / Procedures
  • Incision and drainage
  • Laceration repair
  • Ear irrigation
  • Other minor urgent care procedures
Licensing Requirements (Required)
  • Active North Carolina medical license
  • NC DEA
Board Status & Certifications
Required:
  • Board Certified
  • NCCPA (PA) or NP Board Certification
  • PA Certification or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification
  • BLS
  • Local Candidates Only - Required
Preferred:
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • DOT
Support & Supervision
  • Onsite support: Center Manager, Medical Assistants, Patient Service Assistants
  • Supervising Physician provided (offsite for APPs)
  • No supervision setup required by the provider
Additional Notes for Recruiters
  • This is a float position covering multiple Charlotte-area locations
  • Candidates must be willing to travel within a 60-mile radius
  • Strong communication skills and comfort with high patient volume are essential
