We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Michigan. This position begins Jan 5, 2026, and spans 100 days, with alternating Monday-Friday shifts (8am-4pm or 12pm-8pm). The ideal candidate is experienced in fast-paced urgent care, comfortable with all aspects of urgent care practice, and values adaptability in a dynamic environment. Prior rural or Indian Health Service experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide urgent care services across all capacities of the specialty
  • Manage patient flow during peak morning hours and adapt to lower volume in afternoons and evenings
  • Deliver comprehensive assessments and interventions for urgent care cases
  • Collaborate with other providers to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

  • Michigan license required
  • Experience in rural or Indian Health Service settings is a bonus
  • Ability to work efficiently in environments where patient volume fluctuates throughout the day
  • Board certification is not required for this assignment
