Position Overview:
NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our clinical team in Victoria, Texas. This provider will deliver compassionate, efficient, and evidence-based care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
This role is ideal for a motivated clinician who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being part of a collaborative care team.

Location: 3002 Sam Houston Dr, Victoria, TX

Hours:

Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Patient Population: Infant through geriatric
-
Setting: High-volume, walk-in urgent care
Core Responsibilities
-
Independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients of all ages
-
Manage high patient volume efficiently while maintaining quality care
-
Perform urgent care procedures including suturing and initial x-ray interpretation
-
Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
-
Document encounters accurately and efficiently in the EHR
-
Code and bill services appropriately
-
Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
-
Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards, policies, and values
Required Qualifications
-
Active and unrestricted Texas NP or PA license
-
Active DEA (or ability to obtain)
-
PA: NCCPA certification
-
NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)

Ability to treat patients of all ages
-
Bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies or master’s degree in nursing
-
Active BLS certification
-
Comfortable working occasional weekends and holidays
-
EHR proficiency
-
DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training provided at no cost)
Required Qualifications
-
Documented prior urgent care experience
-
Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license
-
Active DEA (or ability to obtain immediately)
-
PA: NCCPA certification
-
NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)

Proven ability to treat all age groups independently
-
Active BLS certification
-
EHR proficiency
-
Ability to work weekends and holidays
-
DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training provided)
Preferred
-
Multiple years of urgent care or emergency fast-track experience
-
Strong procedural skill set (suturing, splinting, wound care)

Experience with initial x-ray reads prior to radiology over-read
